The MASTERTON Club is one of the most charming buildings in the country with facilities to match

Today the Club features:

  • A magnificent, kauri wood-panelled entrance hall

  • A grand four-table snooker room with featured timber ceiling

  • A spacious lounge bar with open fire

  • Two inter-connecting function rooms, serviced by the professional kitchen and two bars

The Boddington Room

This magnificent dining room, seating 80 guests, is used by members and guests for dinner every Wednesday (meal served at approximately 7pm).
Bookings for dinner can be made by calling the club, or by making a booking via our make a booking page.

This elegant room is popular for weddings and celebrations of all kinds, enquiries are welcome at the Club office or via our contact us page. Our menus can be personally tailored to your individual requirements.

Service clubs regularly use the Boddington Room; coffee, tea, or catered morning teas are available.

The members’ bar & outside deck

Tastefully furnished and modern bar offers members and guests the following:

• An ambience and taste of yesteryear
• A wide selection of beverages
• Large outdoor deck for barbeques
• Warm comfortable leather armchairs
• A warm open fireplace
• A relaxed atmosphere

A special feature of the members’ bar is a glimpse into yesteryear via a transparent panel in the floor which looks into the old wine cellar.

The snooker room
(Exclusively members only)

The Masterton Club is graced with one of New Zealand’s finest Snooker Rooms in a historic great room lined with beautiful native timbers and with trophy game heads displayed around the walls.

There are four superbly maintained tables, and for those waiting their next game, there is luxurious leather seating and a warm ambience to soak up. Beverages can be ordered from the Members Bar.

The president’s room

The Presidents Room, situated in the outer wing of the club, is ideal for small business or sports club meetings where some privacy is required. The room features a large table and seating for up to 20.

This facility can be hired for 1/2 day or full day use.
